CARLA MAZZUCATO'S INTERNAL RHYTHMS OF NATURE

classic art — contemporary vision

Carla Mazzucato's endless quest to explore a myriad of moods is expressed in volatile paintings which explode with the internal rhythms of nature. Grounds swell, clouds rumble, mountains roar, and their forms and spirit unite with those of man.

In “Lilies of the Field,” the flowers burst with life and fervor, matching the vibrant orange color of the girls' blouses. They stand uniformly planted and poised, white kerchiefs wrap their heads like buds, and their dark blue skirts flair into petal shapes. Viewing their backs, we ponder the fate and destiny facing these anonymous girls in the field.

In all of Mazzucato's paintings, the spirit of wonder, silence and mystery permeate the landscapes, in an eloquent symphony of sensuous forms and color.  Past, present and future are wed forever and captured in a moment.

Mazzucato, born in Bolzano, Italy, is the recipient of numerous awards and her work is included in many prestigious collections.  Her international exhibitions include the Traverse City Museum, Michigan, and the Palm Desert Museum, Palm Springs, California.  Her work will be exhibited at Art Expo New York, March 28-April 2.  She will be featured in the new American Artists-Illustrated Survey of Leading Contemporaries.
